Pianist Lisa Bergman has collaborated in performances with many of today's most esteemed artists such as Julius Baker, recitalist and former principal flutist, NY Philharmonic; Marni Nixon, soprano; Steven Staryk, former concertmaster, Chicago, Royal Philharmonic and Toronto Symphonies; Julian Patrick, baritone; Ransom Wilson, flutist; Gervase de Peyer, clarinetist; Michele Lethiec, Lyons Conservatoire; Mindy Kaufman, piccoloist, New York Philharmonic; Janet Ferguson, principal flutist, LA Philharmonic; Larry Combs, principal clarinetist, Chicago Symphony; Sergiu Schwartz, violinist; Rolf Björling, tenor, Stockholm Royal Opera; Alex Klein, oboist; Per Oien, principal flutist, Oslo Conservatoire; Andor Toth, violinist; Carmen Pelton, soprano; Ervin Monroe, principal flutist, Detroit Symphony; Algirdas Budrys, principal clarinetist, Lithuanian State Orchestra and Augusto Paglialunga, tenor, New York City Opera.

Ms. Bergman made her highly successful joint recital debut in Carnegie Recital Hall in 1983. She has performed as recitalist and chamber musician throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and Japan averaging more than 60 engagements per season. As 1996 American Artistic Ambassadors, Bergman and violinist Ann Christensen were selected by the United States Information Agency to represent the U.S. on a seven-week tour of New Zealand, Nepal, Korea, Taipei, Mongolia and China. In 1997 and 1999 Bergman toured the Osaka, Hiroshima and Kobe areas of Japan as a member of a Japanese flute/violin/cello/piano quartet. As a recording artist she has released two CDs with violinist Linda Rosenthal featuring violin and piano repertoire, a third CD in collaboration with the Westwood Wind Quintet in residence at California State University, Long Beach, a fourth with baritone Anthony Brown singing spirituals and a 1999 release of "Embracing American Song"; a collection of beloved American songs; and a sixth CD with violinist Ann Christensen. She was recently appointed Artistic Director of the Mostly Nordic Chamber Series in Seattle, Washington and is Executive Director of Northwest Opera in Schools, Et Cetera. She is also a co-host of The Greenroom (a classical music program weeknights 7-9) on KOHO Radio 101.1 FM, Leavenworth, Washington. Her honors include winning the 1986 National Flute Association Chamber Music Competition in New York City as a member of a two-flute and piano trio. She was chosen as official accompanist for the Metropolitan Regional Opera Auditions and the International Clarinet Society. Bergman served as studio accompanist for cellists Leonard Rose and Bernard Greenhouse.

Ms. Bergman earned Master's Degrees from the Juilliard School and the State University of New York at Stony Brook and her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Washington, cum laude. Her teachers have included Martin Canin, Samuel Sanders and Neal O'Doan. Bergman served as Artist in Residence of the University of Washington Music Faculty from 1989 - 1999 where she taught in the fields of opera coaching and accompanying. She lectures and gives workshops on the art of accompanying for universities and teachers' organizations and is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music.
