Mark Peskanov, Violin
Violinist MARK PESKANOV, one of the most versatile musicians performing today, is a winner of The Avery Fisher Career Grant and The First Isaac Stern Carnegie Hall Award. He has been a guest soloist on numerous occasions with the Chicago Symphony and the New York, Los Angeles and London Philharmonics as well as the Boston, Cleveland, Philadelphia , San Francisco, LSO, NHK, Montreal, Toronto and many other Orchestras. He has appeared at Summer festivals including Aspen, Grant Park, the Mann Music Center, Tanglewood and at the Hollywood Bowl. Hailed as a "Sensational Soloist” by The Chicago Tribune, Mr.Peskanov has performed as a soloist with orchestras and in recital throughout North America, Australia, Japan, the Middle East, Europe and South America. Mr. Peskanov is also a gifted composer. His recording of Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du Soldat on Koch Records was nominated for 2003 Grammy Awards. He is the President, Executive and Artistic Director of Bargemusic.
